Gray Miller Persh LLP opened for business on January 1, 2014
to continue the public broadcasting and educational telecommunications practice
formerly carried on by Todd Gray, Meg Miller and Barry Persh at the
communications law firm Dow Lohnes, pllc.
We have special expertise in communications regulatory
affairs, working closely with the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) on
matters including facility applications, regulatory compliance and
administrative disputes.
We work with stations and national public
broadcasting organizations on matters of regulatory and legislative
policy. We also advise our clients on
transactional and other business issues affecting their activities.
Our public broadcasting and educational communications
clients include many of the country’s state public broadcasting networks, public
colleges, universities and university systems, private colleges and
universities, school districts and offices of education, as well as non-profit
community-based organizations engaged in broadcasting and educational
telecommunications.
By virtue of our long-term representation of
public and nonprofit entities, we are attuned to the necessity for providing
services in a cost-effective manner.
We
are familiar without extensive research or other substantial effort with most
regulatory and business issues that confront public broadcasting and EBS
licensees. We are often able to spread
learning costs for new issues over a broad client base of affected
clients. Our attorneys have developed
specific individual specialties and client familiarity that enables our work to
be completed most efficiently.
